Purchasing a Von Evman's Rottweiler
How do I buy a puppy from you?
The first thing you need to do is to look through the website to learn about us and our Rotts. Then, open up and print the
Puppy Questionnaire (this is a PDF file). You will need to fill out the completely with as much information as you can. This will help us to select the best puppy for your personality and needs. After completing the questionnaire, mail it to us along with your binder fee. Make the binder payable to Evie Johnson and mail it to the following address:

What is the cost of your puppies?
SHOW QUALITY/BREEDABLE puppies cost $2,000.00 to $4,500.00 depending on the parent's bloodlines, titles, and age of the puppies. PET/NON-BREEDABLE Quality puppies will cost approximately $1,500.00.
What is a "binder" and why do you require it for me to reserve a puppy?
We breed top quality bloodlines and always have a waiting list for our dogs. A $500.00 binder is required
to get you on the waiting list for our dogs and goes towards the price of your puppy.
I'm looking for a PET quality puppy from a particular litter. Can you help me?
As we do not know how many puppies will be in a particular litter, it is hard to predict when we will have a pet quality puppy available. Sometimes a pet quality puppy will be produced, but we do not know from what litter. Our goal is to breed for top quality and not to breed pets. You will need to complete the Puppy Questionnaire and send in the binder to reserve a puppy. When a pet quality puppy becomes available, we will go down the list of the people who have sent in the $500.00 binder, as they have first choice.

External Parasites
What is the difference between PET QUALITY and SHOW QUALITY?
Pet Quality simply means that the dog has faults. These faults are generally cosmetic such as non-scissor bite, white spots on the chest or belly, missing teeth, top line not straight enough for showing, etc. These faults will not affect the health or temperament of the dog. A pet quality dog is not for breeding and it is required that the dog be spayed or neutered. Our pet quality dogs make good companions and often their faults are not detectable to anyone but the most experienced eyes.
Show Quality means a puppy with no disqualifying faults at the time of sale.
At what age do I spay or neuter my Rottweiler?
We recommend that you spay at about 1 year old and females should go through one full heat cycle first.
New research from Dr. David Waters DVM, PhD, head of the Gerald P. Murphy Cancer Foundation at Purdue University has proven that dogs spayed or neutered under the age of 1 year of age have a higher risk of cancer.
Please inform your Veterinarian about this study. Dr. Waters conducts ongoing seminars for Veterinarians on the "Understanding the biology of aging" which they can attend for a minimal fee to learn all about their findings.
The Gerald P. Murphy foundation is also doing a study on any Rottweilers that have been spayed or neutered under the age of 1 year. If you are interested in volunteering for the "Cancer Prevention Trial", please email Dr. David Waters at the Center for Exceptional Longevity Study at Purdue University at the address below.

Rottweiler Dos & Don'ts
Dos & Don'ts for PUPPY Rottweilers
- Do not expect for your puppy to have full bladder control
until about 12 weeks of age. During potty training, be patient and gentle.
- Do not rough house or play tug of war with your puppy. Always play with slow,
loving strokes.
- Do not allow your Rottweiler puppy to go up or down stairs until the dog is
about 18 months old.
Dos & Don'ts for ALL ages of Rottweilers
